Birthday Book Program
Program that allows children to donate books to the library in honor of their birthday or
to honor a teacher or staff member.

Program that presents books and other items to the Sol Feinstone community for
purchase. Children visit the book fair with their classes. Parents and teachers are
welcome to come anytime.

The diversity committee brings cultural awareness to the school through assemblies,
speakers and events.

The Family Activities Committee plans and executes several family events during the
year, such as the Welcome Back Picnic and Family Bingo Night.

Sol Feinstone PTO raises funds through an Annual Wrapping Paper sale along with
various smaller fundraisers such as Note Cards and Kids' Art items.

Homeroom Liaison
This PTO volunteer helps organize, inform and guide the homeroom parents for each
class.

Landscape
PTO volunteers maintain the landscaped area at the front of the school. They plant
flowers and trees as well as providing additional beautification items. Seasonal and
motivational decorations are displayed in the front entrance and all-purpose room.

Order name brand meats, vegetables, pies, cookie dough, juice boxes, etc. through
Market Day and have your groceries conveniently delivered to school for pick up.

Middle School Liaison
Attends Newtown Middle School PTA meetings and reports back to the Elementary
School PTO. The Liaison also helps to facilitate a smooth transition between 6th
graders and the Middle School and helps to coordinate the distributionof the Middle
School packets of information

Art Goes to School is a district wide program in which volunteers learn about paintings

Great American Fundraiser
This is a fundraiser for an charity which is run by the Student Council. The PTO helps
by gathering volunteers for the event.

Sol Feinstone earns money passively by collecting "Box Tops", Acme Receipts,
Campbell's soup labels and many other items.

Hospitality
PTO volunteers provide food and beverages for each PTO meeting, for Council Rock
also provide gifts for the teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week, and organize
the Teacher Appreciation Breakfast or Lunch, held at the end of the school year.

This volunteer organizes teacher requests, sends out contracts for scheduled dates
and confirms arrival dates with artists. No artistic ability is required.
